Dress Code


Students shall at all times dress and groom themselves in a manner which demonstrates respect for the seriousness appropriate to a learning environment. Closed toe, flat-heeled shoes are required for active play on the yard and play structures. Hats with a wide brim are recommended for outside.
If a student arrives at school inappropriately dressed, s/he will be sent to the office. The parent will be contacted to bring suitable clothing to school. The following is considered inappropriate at school:
 
  • Halter tops, bare midriff shirts, spaghetti top or dress
  • Clothing printed with offensive logos, pictures, and sayings
  • Short shorts (above mid-thigh)
  • Make-up
  • Pierced earrings longer than one-half inch in length
  • Swimming attire
  • Flip flops
